The Capital Woodlands webpages provide all sorts of information on woodlands in London - things to do, places to go, and how to make the most of woodlands through the seasons.  Take a look at our Get Involved pages to find out about woodland events taking place in London this season.

We hope to encourage more Londoners into the city's woodlands to enjoy their immense beauty and wonder about the history they have witnessed.

Why not take some time out soon to take part in the many woodland events taking place throughout the Capital?

What is the Capital++ Woodlands Project?

Kate Humble
"London's woodlands are beautiful, unique spaces. I am delighted to be an Ambassador for the Capital Woodlands Project, which is all about improving London's woodlands and making them safer, more accessible places for everyone to enjoy."
Kate Humble, TV Wildlife Presenter.

The Capital Woodlands Project exists to improve London’s woodlands for all its citizens. We want Londoners to explore and discover the beauty and seasonal changes in woodlands across the city in ways that suit them.

What’s in it for me?

Life in London can be very stressful with noisy traffic, polluted air and overcrowding on the buses and tube. Spending a bit of time in woodlands can really help you to combat stress, connect with nature and enjoy time with friends and family away from it all.
Relaxation isn’t the only benefit from spending an afternoon in woodland. Read more about the benefits to health, opportunities for the kids to learn about woodland wildlife, how to make the most of the seasons, learn about London’s woodland history, and find out why it makes sense for you to get involved on the pages that follow.

How do I get involved?

Woodland events and activities are taking place all over the Capital. Click on the tabs above to find out more.
